The Parole Board's work predominantly involves regular parole and revocation of parole hearings along with consideration of other matters such as modifications of the terms of parole grants, awards and removal or withholding of inmate & parole good time, review of commutation requests, and medical parole for offenders who meet the statutory criteria. Members are appointed by the Governor to serve six-year terms and administrative support is provided by agency staff including a board-appointed Executive Director.
